Week #4 in Heeerlen, Netherlands and Christmas!
Fijne Kerst Everyone!
This week has been super busy. We had a 4 day exchange with an older sister missionary, Zuster Cluff. I got a bike and Christmas came!
We had an exchange with Sister Cluff who ends her mission this transfer! She is so sweet and super cute. She's 4'11 and every inch is full of love and a hard working spirit. She's from Texas and is the best. She is currently in a trio with my other MTC comp, Sister Hardy and another sister from our same MTC group, Sister Ogden. Sister Cluff came and worked with us for 4 days. In those 4 days we got 11 new investigators and passed out so many Christmas pass-a-long cards. It was so cool to experience a different way of doing missionary work. It was refreshing to have a 3 person who hadn't heard all of my funny stories yet. I had Sister Cluff laughing most of the exchange.
Christmas came early this week when a ward member gifted me a bike! It's a real dutch bike! It's a Gazel and is electric blue. So this week we have been on bike. I have not sweated so much since the summer. THIS PLACE IS NOT FLAT. THERE ARE HILLS HERE. ITS JUST LIKE SAN FRANCISCO. I am going to be so fit by the time I get transferred out of here. But biking is fun, when your bum is not sore! I will get there one day.
We spent Christmas at a ward member's house and had racklettes. It was so delicious! We ate like kings and played a few games after dinner. I got to Skype my family and heard all the exciting things you miss when you are not connected to your family. It was so fun to see all 4 of my siblings and talk to my parents and some other family members. I love and miss my family so much! But don't worry, I'm not home sick. There's enough chocolate here to hold me over until Mother's day.
I need help! I need a name for my bike! If you have any good suggestions please let me know!
I hope you all had a great Christmas! In the Netherlands they do a 2nd Christmas so that's today. All that it means is that it's a second day of Christmas so you can spend Christmas with both sides of the family. Honestly, so smart.
