Week #9 in Amsterdam, Netherlands

THIS WEEK WE HAD A MIRACLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
THOMAS IS GETTING BAPTIZED DECEMBER 8TH!!!!!!!!!!

Thomas is our Slovakian investigator that walked into church last week. We had a lesson with him and invited him to be baptized and he said the sooner the better! So, we prayed and the answer we got was December 8th! We are so excited and thankful for this miracle that we have received. We are so thankful!!!!!

Other than our amazing Thomas, this week was filled with cold wind and Sister Bateman's birthday! We threw her a surprise party with all of the missionaries and had a ton of fun. Sadly, I only got one photo of our 4-person birthday dinner. If you ever need a surprise party done with style, call Sister Acheson and Sister Roberts. We are professionals and we specialize in doing them on the fly.

We got our Zendings fiets this week! (Mission bikes) Every one in the mission now has matching blue bikes that say "Zendelingen Fiets" (missionary bikes) on them. We all had to get rid of our bikes so we could get these new ones. So I had to say goodbye to my bike, Mr. Blue. You will be missed. I named my new bike Mevrouw Blauw (Mrs. Blue), it rhymes really well in Dutch, but I am still looking for other names. Feel free to send suggestions.

The most important thing I learned this week is that when you are feeling the Holy Ghost in a lesson, those you are teaching can feel it too. It was so powerful to feel the spirit with Thomas and help him recognize the influences of the spirit in his life. I know that, even before baptism, we can feel the Holy Ghost and be led. And when we are baptized by the priesthood and receive the gift of the Holy Ghost, we can always have the Spirit with us, guiding our every move. I am so grateful for this wonderful gift.

Stay warm out there! We will do the same here.

Also Happy Thanksgiving!!

Zuster Acheson
